UV Masterbatch

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is defined as that portion of the electromagnetic spectrum between x rays and visible light, i.e., between 40 and 400 nm. The sun is our primary natural source of UV radiation. Artificial sources include tanning booths, black lights, curing lamps, germicidal lamps, mercury vapor lamps, halogen lights, high-intensity discharge lamps, and fluorescent and incandescent sources.

Ultraviolet (UV) radiation is harmful to polymer properties, as when finished plastic parts exposed to direct or indirect sunlight can display surface chalking as the polymer becomes oxidized, and can lose physical properties and become brittle to the point of no longer being fit for original use. UV light also accelerates the fading of plastic colorants.

We offer state of the art solutions to provide superior UV protection by giving unique formulations to suit the requirements of our customers according to the application and climatic conditions of a particular location. Our vast range of UV Stabilizers and Absorbers can protect polymers and plastic end-products from UV rays, preventing its degradation in outdoor exposure.

Our experts know our materials, how they mix with other raw materials and how they react under different manufacturing processes. Using our extensive knowhow and years of experience, we take into account each product’s unique characteristics and service conditions, including climate exposure, chemical environment, color, life expectancy and more, to identify which UV light stabilizer in our innovative range best suits your needs.
